Ways to give
Help build the Zeitoun Memorial.
Every gift goes to one project, held by one foundation, accounted for in one public return. Choose the way that suits you.

Why monthly matters most
A building is not paid for by one-time gifts, and it is not paid for by grants: none of the grant programs open to this project will fund construction. It is paid for by a community, steadily, and by a small number of large gifts. Monthly giving is the steady part.
Two hundred families at $25 a month is $60,000 a year — nearly the foundation's entire current annual income, from a base the community can plainly supply, and predictable enough to plan a phase around. If you give one thing, give this.
What your gift does now
Gifts received today fund the next step: the site plan, engineering and township approvals that everything after depends on. That is $600,000, and it is the whole of the near-term ask.
Then the church itself — $5 million — and the Cultural Center Building, $4 million, which holds the museum. The last $400,000 opens the doors and runs the first year. The plan →
Tax deductibility
Zeitoun Memorial Foundation Inc is recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), EIN 46-1785264. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law; a receipt is issued for every gift. Please consult your own adviser about your situation. Disclosures →
Named opportunities
Put a name on part of it.
The original church at Zeitoun was built by one family in fulfillment of a promise. This one will carry the names of many — in memory of parents and grandparents, of a village in Egypt, of a family's arrival in America; in honor of a parish or a community.
Each opportunity is recognized permanently in the building, and every donor is recorded in the founders' book.
Nine of these are rooms in the Cultural Center. A gallery on the Egyptian desert, or the language, or the crossing to America, can carry a family's name for as long as the building stands.
To reserve an opportunity, or to discuss one not listed, contact the foundation.

The shape of it
What $10 million actually looks like.
A building is paid for by a small number of large gifts and a large number of steady ones. This is the shape the campaign needs.
- 1gift of $1,000,000
- 2gifts of $750,000
- 4gifts of $500,000
- 8gifts of $250,000
- 15gifts of $100,000
- 30gifts of $25,000
- 60gifts of $10,000
- 125gifts of $2,500
- and several hundred families giving monthly
245 gifts carry $9,662,500 of it. The last $337,500 is everybody else, and it is the part that makes the building the community's rather than a donor's.
$991,000 is already in hand, including the land. The table is conventional for a goal this size; the board or a campaign counsel may want a different shape.
Other ways to give
Large gifts rarely arrive through a website.
The foundation welcomes gifts by check, of securities, from donor-advised funds and IRAs, and by bequest — and will meet anyone considering a major gift, in person.
By check
Payable to Zeitoun Memorial Foundation Inc, mailed to P.O. Box 5622, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. Please include your address for the receipt, and note any named opportunity.
Stock, DAF or IRA
Appreciated securities avoid capital gains; qualified charitable distributions from an IRA count toward your required minimum. Transfer instructions: brokerage, DTC number, account. Grants from a donor-advised fund: use EIN 46-1785264.
Bequests
Suggested wording: "I give [amount or share] to Zeitoun Memorial Foundation Inc, EIN 46-1785264, of Hillsborough, New Jersey, for its general purposes." Please let the foundation know, so it can thank you.
Major gifts
